Last Saturday POWW invaded the American Legion Post in Fox Lake for the
first part of Round One of the Regional TV Title Toournament. Warden Ortiz
addressed the crowd that he had made a few changes in the tournament despite
what had been announced! He had removed Ryan Castalucci and rearranged
some of the other matches, including leaving Jimmy Blaze with a mystery
opponenet to be named later. After some hard fought matches, five men have
already advanced while others had their hearts broken early. Vinnie Riot,
Milad Akkbar, Chris Cairo, Mitch Blake and Brawn the Lumberjack have all
moved on to the second round of the tournament. However, they must now
wait, until January 20 in Villa Park until they find out who they will
be faving the next day in Round 2! Don't miss the first double shot of
the year with both the VFW in Villa Park and the next night in Elk Grove
Village!
In other news, the Rawbone Roughnecks were at it again in Fox Lake from
start to finish. The interrupted Warden Ortiz welcoming of the crowd to
come out and boast about Ruff being the POWW World Champion and how they
are the most dominating force POWW has ever seen. However, the Warden called
out Kanoa and Ruthless Ramon to even the playing field. The Warden the
announced that Ramon and Kanao would be facing Crossing and Hokinson in
tag team action for the main event. However, during the match Crossing
the self-proclaimed best wrestler in the world, would not get in the ring
until Hokinson had put either man to the mat! In the end Ramon and Kanoa
fought off all three Rawbones and won the match by countout! There also
seemed to be some desention between Hokinson and Dynamite after the match
was over!
